The International Kite Festival 2023 (Kite Festival 2023 | Uttrayan 2023) celebration is one of the celebrations in Gujarat and an expected event. This day is considered sacred and Hindu. Preparations and activities for the Kite Festival begin early in the morning. People wake up early in the morning before sunrise. The arrangements start in the kitchen to prepare delicious Gujarati dishes like ladoo, undhiyu, puri or surati Jamun which are ceremonially prepared and eaten on this day. it’s a truth that without Undhiya and Jalebi Uttrayan (Kite Festival 2023) is not completed.

The excitement doesn’t end even after a long day of partying, enjoying, and celebrating on the terrace. Once night falls, people put lighted paper lanterns called tukkals or gubara on gun strings, which glow all night long, and are truly spectacular.
